Administer

Establish clear processes within your facility for administering vaccines to residents and staff. Pharmacies, trusted healthcare personnel and community partners can ensure convenient access.

Administer needed vaccines or refer to a provider who can immunize.

Some ways to improve administration include:

  • Offer vaccines onsite at no cost and at regular intervals, especially for staff.

  • Offer PTO for vaccine delivery and side effects.

  • Offer vaccines upon recommendation if possible; individuals who are offered a vaccine upon recommendation are more likely to get vaccinated.
